In this painting, there are two brothers who have been lynched. The image is taken from the book Lynchings. Underneath the hanged, is a white mob, some of which I just painted faceless pink images. The others, I cut out of a magazin. Near the lynched is a copy of Billie Holiday’s song, “Strange Fruit”.
